Last month saw the launch of a major joint review into the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector’s contribution to health and wellbeing. The review will consider whether partnerships between government and the sector are operating in the most effective way possible and how they might work better in future.

Darlington LINk was an award-winning independent network that aimed to improve local health and social care services, ensuring everyone’s voice is heard. The LINk has now been replaced by Darlington’s Local Healthwatch as part of the changing health landscape. However, the spirit of partnership working established by the LINk remains. This case study explores some of the LINk’s achievements prior to April 1, 2013.
