I believe the charity and voluntary sector plays a vital role in our local communities. In my constituency amazing work is carried out every year by those involved with the "Operation Christmas Child" campaign. Volunteers in our area combine with local schools, businesses and the borough council in order to provide Christmas present for deprived children in Romania. It is just one example of the selfless work carried out by ordinary people who give generously of their time and effort across the country. Those mobilising such campaigns are initiatives have my complete support.
