Candidates in Altrincham and Sale West [Region: North West]
Mr Graham Brady
1. How important is the charity and voluntary sector to your constituency?
Hugely important, both as a provider of care and as part of the fabric of the community at large.
2. What efforts will you make - if elected - to work with local charities and voluntary sector organisations in your constituency?
If re-elected I would certainly continue to support local charities and voluntary groups as I have with the past. I have on-going involvement with charities including Friends of Rosie, Family Contact Line/Centre, Stockdales, Arthritis Care and the Jubilee Centre. I have had considerable involvement in campaigns to support groups such as New Heart New Start and the Christie's charity. I am also a keen supporter of voluntary groups such as the Scouts.
3. Will you champion the Compact in your constituency, to encourage better partnership working between the local public sector and the voluntary and community sector?
I will certainly work to encourage this kind of co-operation. I am also pleased that the role of the voluntary sector has such a prominent place in my party's manifesto.

1. How important is the charity and voluntary sector to your constituency?
Very important. I supported and actively participated in all the work VCAT (Voluntary & Community Action Trafford) did with the Broomwood Partnership when I was an elected councillor in Village ward. So many community services are provided by the charity and voluntary sector. This is work is vital and must be integrated with statutory services.
2. What efforts will you make - if elected - to work with local charities and voluntary sector organisations in your constituency?
I will do all I can to support the work of the charity and voluntary sector and ensure it is part of the framework of support for people together with statutory services.

3. Will you champion the Compact in your constituency, to encourage better partnership working between the local public sector and the voluntary and community sector?
I will champion the Trafford Compact. It is vital that everyone supports this framework for statutory, voluntary and community organisations to work together in Altrincham & Sale West constituency as part of Trafford.
